Pink Floyd, is my favorite band. I heard them for the first time in 1970. The song Umaguma, started it for me. If you want to download them, try one of the links I have given you.I would love to talk to you about this great band.

The Pink Floyd Story - BBC Documentary
Forty years after Britain's foremost 'underground' band released their debut album, Piper At The Gates Of Dawn, Pink Floyd remain one of the biggest brand names and best-loved bands in the world. This film features extended archive, some of it rarely or never seen, alongside original interviews with the four surviving members of Pink Floyd, David Gilmour, Roger Waters, Richard Wright and Nick Mason, and traces the journey of a band that has only ever had five members, three of whom have lead the band at different stages of its evolution.

Hey CaliforniaKid -
I spent my teen years grumpy that I was born in the wrong generation - I was clueless, but I did love the music.

I lived in Houston, TX. in 1994 when Pink Floyd came through town. Several friends from my hometown (Tulsa) came down for the concert.

We were psyched, and had amazing seats, 4th row center. It was, of course, amazing - until - the rain started. Not a mild sprinkling either, stinging rain. They tried to continue on, but it was clear it had to stop.

When they did, it was a mad rush to the shuttle buses. My group managed to stay together and even were on the same bus, but I was almost swallowed into the crowd.

It was somewhat surreal, a hand reached down and truly grabbed me, pulling me onto the bus. It was my friend Chris, who is the most annoying person on the planet, I could have kissed him in that moment. I didn't.

But that is my Pink Floyd story. I love the band as well, and it staggered me to think just now that I have been listening to their music for 21 years.

Thanks for making me think....
